Gmail backup tool is one of the best things that happened to archive. Most Gmail users don’t know how to backup emails, though it is as easy as reading the alphabets. Although Google has a strong record of managing data, the fact remains that accounts could be hacked.
In my last post, I talked about how to backup Gmail using different methods but today will be telling you about Gmail backup tool and how to use it. Also, I will be talking about other third-party backup tools. To back up our Gmail we have three different approaches to do that and they include:

- Periodic or one-time backup snapshots

Gmail Backup Tool
Gmail backup tool is one the best tool for archiving our emails and it is owned by Google. It can be used to store folders and attachments using the Gmail backup tool. The Google mail backup Application is free to download and it is open source. Though it does not contain all the features of a dedicated email client, it still offers access to all your emails.
SysTools Gmail Backup
This third party tool helps us to back up our Gmail into different formats such as PST, EML, MSG, or MBOX. It is compatible with both Windows and Mac Os. The link to download it is here.
This backup tool is only for only Mac Os users. The unique feature of this application is that it can backup both Gmail and other email clients. The link to download it is here.
The Mailstore Home is a windows only backup tool and has some features of the up safe backup tool. The link to download it is here.
Upsafe Gmail Backup
Upsafe is a free windows only backup tool. It is very simple, we download, install, connect to our Gmail account and then download the emails. The link to download it is here.
The Gmvault is another backup tool that works on Windows, Mac, and Linux and provides other functionalities, including backing up your entire Gmail archive and easily allowing you to move all that email to another Gmail account.
